WHO WE ARE
Amandla awethu! This was the rallying cry of South Africans during the terroristic reign of Apartheid. Amandla means "power" and awethu means "to the people" or "to us". Those words emboldened the people who were suffering under legalized discrimination to demand their seat at the table. We chose Amandla! as the name of this educational organization as a reminder that people have the power to change their lives for the better. We believe that power comes from education.

The purpose of Amandla! is to provide educational opportunities to individuals and the community through platforms such as workshops, group sessions, and self-paced learning. We will fulfill this mission by creating and facilitating educational programs as well as partnering with others to facilitate programs that empower the communities that we serve. This includes providing a physical space that invites people to learn and grow in a safe, supportive environment.
